Can anyone recommend a good Air Purifier?

I am SICK of all this dust and crap in my room. I need a megagiggy thermohypidial rodundulating Air Purifier. I want it to suck out every sumbitchin dust particle within a 10 mile radius. This is insane. I can dust 8 times a day and it still it dirty as hell. I am not a clean freak, but I have to clean out dust bunnies out of my puter every two weeks now or it wants to get crash happy. CPU fan is almost plugged solid in 2 months. That is how much dust is in this damn house.

I'm thinking about one of those ionic breezes. Any reviews by us Forums Rats? That, or I am going to cover my walls in expanded metal and hook up a 30khz 50,000 volt DC power supply up to them to suck out this dust.

A very good air cleaner but you must remember Monel that it is throwing O 3 (Ozone) in great quantities into the surrounding enviroment.
Ozone is corrosive to human flesh, rubber and many products that are in your home.

The Sharper Imagiene Ionic Breeze's are horsesh!t in my personal experience.

They are very quiet but they also move practically no air and leave a weird smell in the air.

I'd go with a plain 'ole HEPA air filter, CostCo has a nice one with remote for $99.

I like Bionaire Hepa filters. Whatever choice you make I suggest that you pick a filter that you can get the replacement parts easy. Also to really solve your dust problem.......... vaccum regularly & use some of those static sheets like Swiffer 😀

Cheers,
Aquaman

like the rossman said, stay away from the toxic spewing horsesh*t sharper image sells.

shame on sharper image.

We just got a Panasonic model F-P15HU2. It's thin and can be set against a wall (intake is at the front and output is at the top). It has a dust sensor that lets you set it on Automatic and it will run at various speeds (or not at all) based on the amount of dust in the air. Has a HEPA filter plus an outer filter that snags the bigger particles.

We've had it about three weeks and my wife says she notices the difference when she gets up in the morning - less sinus congestion.

Awesome, thanks for providing the model # (damn I love AT'ers!).

Where did you buy it from and for how much?

has anyone tried these ozone filters? I'm thinking about getting one next jan. ionic breeze is advertised a ton as is the "living air classic."

looking online, it looks like selling these things is soft of an AmWay deal... lots of independent sellers with lots of different prices.

You can't buy them any more, RossMAN. They're all gone. Sold out. No coupons. No discounts. No free nights and weekends. No rebates. No special codes. No pricematch. No BOGOs. No free shipping. No Amazon gift box. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Move on to another thread. Nothing to buy here. 😉

For everyone OTHER than RossMAN, the place I bought from (bgehome.com) has shut down their online ordering for some reason. I paid $159.99 plus $6 shipping, that's about the best I could find. A lot of places I checked were out of stock. Damn, RossMAN, you read this part, didn't you! 🙂

Guilty as charged 😛

Go to cosco or sams club and get a 2 stage air purifier...one stage uses a carbon prefilter and the second is a heavy duty hepa filter. Hepa is a must. Stay away from the ionic garbage. It'll cost you between $80 and $130 at one of these places.

Ironic.

Just as i came across the thread, i just let out a 10 second gaseous leak from beneith.
