Can anyone recommend a decent wireless gaming mouse and keyboard?

What problems with wireless gaming mice?
Couldn't tell you. I've participated in several TF2 tournaments (with Clan McCart) using either a Performance MX, G700 or Mamba. Never had a responsiveness problem.
The only thing about the G700 that sucks is the battery life - I need to feed it one AA eneloop a day, whereas with the Performance MX, it lasts ~2-3 days.

There's some pretty bad reviews that have a lot in common.

Aside from that...the g700 is $90, isn't sold by amazon and has a ton of buttons (hate the buttons!). 🙁

Like I said, last week the G700 was on sale for $49 from Amazon. Heck, the deal was even on the front page of Slickdeals. I ordered one and waiting for it. Yes, it's sold by Amazon and plenty of great reviews for it also.

If you game, the more buttons the better, imho. And if you won't want them, don't use them. Plus, it can be used wirelessly or wired.

I don't even use a keyboard but a Logitech G13 game pad.

thanks guys. the performance mx doesnt seem bad. pretty expensive though. guess ill wait for a sale from it or the 700. is the 700 considered better or the performance mx?

Newer mice dont have as many problems as the older ones did with interference and stuff but a wired mouse with a bungee you'll have none of the down sides of wireless with it feeling like a wireless mouse. Battery, connectivity going out etc.

i use a performance mx as my regular mouse, but i don't use it for games. it will go to sleep on you, and you will die.

They're almost the same physical design. The difference is that the G700 has a rough texturized finish, is lighter, has more buttons and more than 2 dpi levels.

They're both smaller than the MX1100 - that is one huge and heavy mouse. Owned one for a week (Logitech sent it as an RMA replacement for a MX Revo) and promptly sold it. With two NiMH AAs in there, it was like swinging a brick around 😵

Every wireless mouse I have used sucks. They all lose connection from time to time and they burn through batteries.

I don't know why I have such an issue (I've had Logitech and MS wireless mice) but I switched back to wired and will never go back.

I still use the wireless kb/mouse when I need to though (when I plug in my laptop to the TV)

Are you able to adjust the refresh rate on the Performance MX like you can on the G7 and G700? I know I haven't been able to do it on my old MX1000 or Revolution MX.

If you had to suggest a WIRED mouse and keyboard what would you suggest?

Anyone, anyone?

I'm strongly considering the g700 but I still hate the buttons lol. No keyboard suggestions?

I've got $40 to burn through at newegg so there's a start.

For mouse, I'd go with a Logitech MX518 or whatever iteration they're up to now. Mines is like 5 years old and still kick-ass.

Keyboard, I don't know. I kinda liked my MS Comfortcurve way back when, but the curve just seems awkward now when gaming.

Only reason I'd avoid wireless is the battery hassel. Otherwise, the Bluetrack tech my laptop's wireless Microsoft mouse uses is amazing. It works accurately on CARPET!!!

Anyone, anyone?

There are plenty of options to chose from. It is also a matter of personal preference, as each one has a different hand/grip.

I have used a Razer Deathadder it has only 5 buttons.. fairly comfortable to use. I've also heard Steelseries and Logitech makes pretty good gaming mouses.

EDIT: If you don't want any extra buttons.. Razer Abyssus is a decent one. Pretty cheap too.

I am looking at the G700 myself. My mx518 needs to be replaced. All but two of the movement pads on the bottom have eroded away so its very rough to move around.
