That was pretty painful. You got to wonder if she knew how much she was getting baited with those questions.

And "think of the children," they might start asking questions about their parents beliefs. And we all know that asking questions about beliefs is just plain wrong!

Though, to be fair, it isn't like how science is done is perfect all the time. Money/politics do influence some research to varying degrees. But to think that there is some conspiracy of scientists out to kill your children is just plain stupid.

To incite violence is inappropriate.
There was a time when this was a bannable offense.

OP is a monkey.

EDIT:
OP has shown evidence towards evolving.

Then it isn't science. Peer review would knock it down.

Just because something is published that does not make it science. It is only after peer review and results are able to be duplicated that it starts to form something solid. Anything else is just paid for tripe and is only science to someone who doesn't understand what science is.

Sort of like the video.

Hey look.. PC enforcers are active today.

Anyway, I will edit my title so as to not to offend any one.

Maybe I'm wrong here; I'm guessing you weren't advocating punching her for her beliefs. You were advocating it due to her overwhelming, arrogant unwillingness to critically analyze the topic at hand.

I personally believe she may have been playing along a bit, but if she was it certainly wasn't for fun. It was to cater to her base.

You can look at her other videos online.. and you are right. She is catering to her base, but in this video she is speaking on behalf of all the Americans.

Well there is more ways than just that that money can influence science.

Company X can be offering big buck to have research done about Topic A but not about Topic B, and thus it may end up being the case that a great deal more research is done about Topic A than Topic B, when Topic B is also worthy (though not in the eyes of Company X) of also being researched.
And the research resulting from this can be perfectly good and valid and well done, but a perfect pursuit of "truth" isn't done because the money from Company X influences which Topic gets studied.

And the whole peer review process can be stifling to good scientific innovation. Nothing is more frustrating then trying to find someone else's research paper only to find it's behind a paywall that your university didn't shell out big bucks to get access too. And God help you if you aren't part of a university or company that has a good journal subscription set. It sadly isn't a perfect process and I hope more is done to make research (especially research funded in whole or in part by public dollars) more open and accessible.

science does have issues. peer review isn't an end-all, be-all. the statistics behind a lot of studies is terrible.
