Can anyone help?

Since yesterday everytime I go on the internet I have been getting this problem. When I click on a site (even from my favourites) I have to press refresh a good 3 or 4 times before the page will come up. The error message I get is an 'I' in a square and 'This page cannot be displayed'.

Once I am into the correct site I can close it down and open it back up no problem, its just seems to be getting to it in the first place.

I have run ad-aware and spybot and they came up with nothing.

HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE AN ANTI VIRUS PROGRAM TO RULE OUT VIRUS,HIJACKERS,WORMS,ETC.
THE BEST THING IS TO RUN SYSTEM RESTORE IN WINDOWS. (FOLLOW NAVIGATION START - PROGRAM FILES - ACCESSORIES - SYSTEM TOOLS - SYSTEM RESTORE)

P.S.
HOPEFULLY YOU'RE NOT OFFENDED BY CAPITAL LETTERS LIKE SOME OTHER JERK.

It may just be your ISP. Comcast seems to be havng some problems this weekend for instance.

If you're using broadband power-cycle your modem and router (turn off and back on).

I wouldn't trust Spybot or Adware anymore. Also you may have a compromised HOSTS file which neither will detect. Please refer to my detailed spyware removal instructions: http://theflyingpenguin.com/spyware-removal.shtml

Hope this helps...

Many thanks for these suggestions. I certainly am not offended by capitals I was grateful of the help.

I tried one of the virus checkers on Penguin's site but that was negative too. I just kept rebooting (trying everything before totally restoring the system) and this morning it started working properly so I don't know if there was a problem with the ISP or what but gladly its working now.

Cheers again.
