Hi ,

Im new to downloading Torrent files , and i was wondering if anyone could tell me how i can play this file

---> ***************.hdtv-lol.mab

It wont play in WMP . Im new to downloading videos and all the formats and codecs needed to decode certain files . :confused:

Try using Media Player Classic. It's proven to be far more reliable to play media files of almost all types. It's also free to download.

HMM, never heard of.

Is that the tiny file you downloaded to desktop like few 100Kilobits should be .tor or is that the big file you use the tiny file to grab, cause if its later rename to .avi, or .mpeg and try to play, you wont mess it up you can rename back.

Very hard from here to guess, i see nothing on google of a .mab extention. :(

Ok your doing something wrong, I downloaded the file to desktop, its tiny takes 1second, then you double click it to open your installed torrent client and it saves as avi and start the 350MB download.

Have you even got a client install for torrents ?

thought it may not apply here im gonna recommend a program called gspot. its useful for finding info about certain files. it helps solves some problems that com with playing a file. i use it for when i dl anime myself.

You may want to edit the filename out of your question.

That file is an .avi file though; somehow it got renamed with the wrong extension.

Just rename it as .avi instead of .mab & you'll be in business.

LOL [the group] only releases TV stuff in .avi format BTW :)

oh yeah, i use winamp to play my files. if for some reason that doesnt work out for me i use the vlc media player. head over to download.com for the lastest vlc player cause im too lazy to get the link myself :)

Thank you , i renamed it to .avi and it played in another media player i have called Dojo .

Humey: It was the full file that was produced after the torrent download finished .
