When trying to print in Autocad I occasionally get "AC caused a general protection fault in module NVDISP.Drv at ...... Also in EXCEL when trying to print I sometimes get "Program has performed an illegal operation. Excel caused a general protection fault in module HPBXLB.Drv" In Internet Explorer the computer sometimes locks up. The cursor will move but no actions can be made. Last symptom is that the computer generally hangs on the first post of the day.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

You have any other problems when it comes to your video? The driver that AutoCAD is crashing on is an NVidia driver for your video. I would try reinstalling your video drivers, if that doesn't work check on AutoDesk's site to see if they have a driver specific for your video card or they have a link to NVidia for a driver specific to AutoCAD. The printing problem is that Excel is blowing up on the printer driver. I would try reinstalling the driver for your printer, if that doesn't work then I would try using your printer with a more generic driver to see if you still get the same problem. Like, if you are using an HP LaserJet 6L and you get this problem, then I would try using a generic Windows driver for an HP LaserJet III that comes with Windows and see if I still get the same problem. I know it's not much, but at least you know exactly what it's having a problem with.
