I just got a new MSI nForce2 mobo and it has USB 2.0 support. I installed WinXP, then SP1, then the nForce 2.0 drivers from Nvidia. I still don't see the USB 2.0 in my device manager. The drivers are NOT on the install disk that came with the mobo either. I think they are supoose to be incorportated into the nforce 2.0 or SP1 but even after installingbot I have no USB 2.0. Can anyone tell me HOW I am suppose to get the USB 2.0 to work?

All righty then... *downloads manual*

MSI says:

The USB 2.0 technology is downward compatible with USB 1.1
spec. To use the USB 2.0 ports, you have to install the USB 2.0
driver, which is supplied by Microsoft for Windows® 2000 and
XP. If you have any problems regarding the USB 2.0 driver,
please visit the Microsoft Web site for more information.
For details on the bluetooth settings, please refer to PC2PC
Bluetooth Manual.

The USB ports on an nForce2 board are all USB 2.0, so if they work at all, then I'd say you're done. Do they work?

I think the confusion here is due to the fact that VIA 4in1s identify the USB as 2.0 and the nForce boards do not. When you look at the difference it does make you think.

I kind of had this same question but answered it for myself by downloading some digital pictures off my camera. That answered my question.
