For some damn reason i cant get it....any ideas? Thanks again lol

john finds an unusual object and wishes to calculate it's density. He discovers a problem of accurately weighing it, because it won't stay on the weighing pan. To solve this he adds the object to a beaker containing 50 mL of distilled water and finds the water level rises to 90 mL. The flask of water weighed 521.5 grams after the object was added. If the empty beaker weighed 343 grams, calculate the following:
The weight of the water: g
The weight of the object: g
The volume of the object: cm3
The density of the object: g/cm3

i know the volume is 40ml, but i cant get anything else.

Beaker without object: 50 mL.
Beaker with object: 90 mL.
90-50 = 40 mL. The object has a volume of 40 mL.

Beaker with water and object: 521.5 g.
Beaker without water and object: 343 g.
Water+object = 521.5 - 343 = 178.5 g.

Water is ~1g/mL.
The object is 40 mL --> 40 g.

Water and object = 178.5 g.
Water = 178.5 - 40 = 138.5 g.

I'll leave the other two for you :p.

The volume of the object: 40 (Correct) cm3
