I just got nba 2k3. i have a 59 block nintendo brand memory card, that has nothing on it.

nba2k3 says it needs 45-53 blocks of memory to store a season's data. i have 59 blocks but every time i start up nba2k3 it has an error that there isnt enough space. so i cant play season mode.

anyone know whats wrong?

Are you sure all the space is free? go into system configuration and see if there are any files you can delete.

I got live 2003 for my ps2 instead of my gc, because of just this issue. The memory cards are so small.

it tells me that at the beginning of 2k2, as well as madden 2002...dont worry aboiut the error at the beginning as long as it actually will save.

you heard wrong. 2k3 is more of a sim game, with all the guys slow and plodding around, which i can't stand. live 2003 is more arcadey, and faster, more like the game of basketball. I guess it just boils down to whether you like fast action or a simulation. I also read reviews about 2k3 that mentioned bugs that I wouldn't be able to deal with (i.e. your guys stopping to catch a pass on a fast break, thus ruining the breakaway).

Also, Live 2003 has a new Freestlye control system, where you can do all kinds of crazy moves using the right analog stick. It's easily the best b-ball game I've ever played.
