Can anyone help me solve my Homer Simpson Rubik's Cube?

I got a Homer Simpson Rubik's cube for Xmas, hasn't been unmangled since. Can see what it looks like here

Was fooling around with it earlier and now only 3 part are out of place, there are 8 pieces of homer's head. I got the whole front half, and the back right side of his head. Could anyone here help me solve it if i post a picture of the actual cube (or maybe *shudder* tried to draw a picture of it)? Otherwise i don't think I'll ever solve it. And of course once i do solve it will only be a week before i start messing with it again. If no one can help than i'll just keep at it.

But here's the trick: the cube has only eight parts to it instead of the 27 blocks on a regular cube and you're never more than two moves away from solving it.

well since there are no stickers my vote is for taking it apart and putting it back together right......

we have one of those at work, except it's Darth Maul instead of Homer. I've solved it a few times, but I usually just move it around randomly until it looks like I can finish it.

No one else at work has been able to solve it though, and they keep messing it up (thinking they can fix it) everytime I solve it.

I think my bro got it at KBtoys, but i've seen them around. First place i saw it was in my local Grocery Store...not sure why it was there. I think they can be found without searching too hard though, but it might be discontinued.

Pictures coming tomorrow...maybe. I can't find the dang camera.

Guy in the dorms at Georgia Tech had one. I couldn't ever solve the damn thing. We'd start drinking and I'd be rearranging the thing for hours and never once got it back to normal.

If memory serves, it came with a solution booklet (at least, mine did). I know I've run across mine from time to time, and may have a scanned version on the file server at home (am not presently there, or I would check).

In any event, solution steps should match the Star Warseque version shown here.

I haven't worked on my Homer cube at all (at least the front of his face is complete) though i was just looking at some guides for the original Rubiks cube, and holy hell they don't make any sense whatsoever. Even the official "7 step guide" that came with the cube makes no sense at all. Ah well. I don't playing with the original rubiks cube much anyways, the stickers are all peeling off, some badly. I think i got a poorly made one.

haha- my friend got one of those too as a birthday present. Having solved 3x3 rubik's cubes before (through shamelessly cheating by memorizing moves of course), I laughed at the simplicity of the homer cube, only 8 pieces.

And then I actually tried it. AAHHH!! Several hours later, I finally gave up and looked at the "7 step guide" that came with the Homer cube. The instructions are actually decently clear- they actually work. Try it out.
