Can anyone help me identify this country song?

I'm not a big country fan, but I heard this song on the radio about 3 weeks ago and really liked it. The singer sounded familiar, but they didn't say who it was or the name of the song. I thought I'd hear it again and catch the name, but I haven't. I've done a search of the top music downloads and listened to samples, but I haven't found it yet.

It had a really strong driving drumbeat and a lot of energy all the way through. I don't remember any of the words, I just really liked the music. It was a guy singing, actually 2 or 3.

If you could give me some suggestions of what it might be, I could try to find it from samples. I'; sorry I can't remember more about it to help.

Why should he? If its a country song, then its either about losing your wife, dog, trailer or truck. :)

yellowfiero, I've heard that one and it's definitely not it. This is a newer more modern sounding song. Thanks though.

werk, I've heard that one too and it's not it. This one's closer to a rock song. Thanks.

bleeb, I've heard that one, wrong genre, but thanks for playing. :)

deftron, I believe I've heard that one, but I'll check it out just to make sure. Thanks.

FeuerFrei, I listened to a sample of that one, but the small part I heard was kind of slow. It could be that I didn't hear enough of it, but this one is a really upbeat hard driving song that makes you want to pound your steering wheel while you're listening to it. I'll try to hear more of that one though. Thanks.

waggy, I know, not much to go on.

I'm no country music expert, but I suspect you could find your song by checking one of the charts. Here's a link to billboard's top Country.

Do any of these sound familar, they should fit your description:

"Hell Yeah"

"Speed"

They have some samples here.

Hope this is helpful.

If it sounds like multiple guys, try listening to some Rascal Flatts samples. I'm not a huge country fan, but I like their stuff.

GeekDrew, I wish I could, but I just kind of got caught up in the beat of the song and wasn't really listening to the words. I kind of remember something about them driving a car fast.

yellowfiero, no this was a really upbeat feel good kind of song. The hard drumbeat is what really got me. It kind of reminds me of the drumbeat in Rob Thomas' heartbeat song.

gar598, those two you mentioned sound like good possibilities. I'm off to your link to listen right now. Thanks.

gar598, I tried Hell Yeah and Speed, but those weren't it. Thanks for the link though.

bunker, I tried Rascal Flatts "Fast Cars and Freedom", but the sample I heard didn't sound like it unless it picks up farther on in. Thanks.

deftron, I just tried Mountain Music and it's one I've heard before. It's not it, but thanks.

sao123, I tried a couple of the new Toby Keith songs when I started my search because it sounded like something he'd do, but the ones I listened to weren't it. Maybe it's an older one of his. I'll keep trying. Thanks.

waggy, I tried Montgomery Gentry's "Something to be Proud of", but the sample ended just as the beat was picking up. That could be it, I don't know. If I can't find it, I'll download that one and see. Thanks.

Mloot, I tried Brooks and Dunn's "Play Something Country" and "She Likes Get Out of Town", but those weren't it. Thanks.

Odin, can you suggest any of their songs that might fit that description? I looked at the samples they have available for download, but I don't know what to try from the titles.

When I was searching I did find something very similar sounding. It was "Down in Mississippi (Up to No Good) by Sugarland. That's not it, but it's very close, if that helps any of the country afficianados out there. :)

Sugarland is similar? That's female, not male... Sugarland's "gotta be something more" is the only thing I can think of by that artist that might be it...

mcvickj, I listened to some Big and Rich songs and couldn't find it. I couldn't find a sample of Comin' to Your City, but I'll keep trying. Thanks.

SWScorch, I've heard Chatahoochie. It's upbeat like that, but it's not it. I listened to some other Alan Jackson samples, but didn't hear it. Thanks.

GeekDrew, I know, but the beat and energy sounds a lot like the song I'm looking for. I just listened to "Something More" by them and that's not it, but they could be the band I heard. I'll listen to a bunch of their songs and see if it's one of theirs. Thanks.

It's late and I've got work tomorrow so I'm heading off to bed. Thanks to everyone for helping me with my search.
