Question Can anyone help me access my home pc (for testing mainly right now) when I am out and about on my iPhone ?

Mainly to stream videos from my home pc to my iPhone when I am remotely out and about. Thanks. I know the first step is over a VPN but not sure how to go about doing it. No my router does not have VPN comparability. I am on AT&T 1 Gbps fiber so I know my speed shouldn't be a problem. I don't want to get another router right now sorry.

If no one can help it is fine but I thought I at least try. Thanks. Any other info you need feel free to ask. Thanks.

You wouldn't want to do this without some sort of vpn as there are constant attacks that exploit anything exposed directly to the Internet. Even the vpn gets attacked, but it is harder to penetrate if you implement it correctly.

Thank you. How do I go about doing The recommended yet complicated way is to setup a VPN server on your home network and setup a port forward to it please? Thanks.

There are about a hundred different way to implement vpn remote access, but the way the enterprise does it is via a vpn router and then client software on the device. Some consumer routers also offer this capability.

I use Plex to do what you want to do. You will have to open a port on your router. I just use one different from the Plex standard.
