Can anyone give me a guide here on how to go about resyncing the A/V on a divx file?

How did it get out of sync?

The ways I know it are fairly complicated...it involves using SoundForge, there's a tutorial for that somewhere on the web. Try googling...

All I need to do is insert a 419ms of silence to the audio. Now if I could only find an easy way of doing that.

Btw the solution I detailed is for increasing/decreasing duration skew; if it's off by a set amount throughout the video, it's an even easier fix; just delay or hasten the audio in virtual dub: audio -> interleaving. Make sure to set video to direct stream copy before you save, otherwise it'll try to recompress the video (it's not set to direct stream copy by default).
