Try Pricewatch....Xtreme Gear has it for $65.75 shipped.

250Hz is pretty slow...I'd go with the 250Mhz version:eek:

I don't think any of them are guaranteed since even retail Built by ATI 8500LE cards have ranged from 230/230 to 250/275. If you want a guaranteed card, it might be best to get it used off the FS/FT forums here or at other forums.

I am interested in this card I saw here: http://www.buyaib.com/atirad85le64.html

But I cannot seem to figure out if it comes with the chipset cooler/fan and it has some option at the bottom of the page to add some chipset feature for $25 and I have no clue what they are talking about. Can anyone answer my questions? Thanks

The chipset cooler they are trying to get you to add on is a cooling soloution from Thermaltake, that cools the ram. You shouldn't need it as long as you aren't shooting for over 275/275.

The only thing I would be concerend about would be what speeds the core/memory are clocked at. I would enquire about this when I bought the card. The card in the picture looks exactly like mine, but doens't mean the clock speeds are the same. Alot of people have gotten these cards clocked at various speeds.

The card comes with a heatsink, and fan. So you don't have to worry about that. The ram is exposed, just like the picture. Personally I would send them an email asking the clock speeds before I bought it.

I found the card HERE but I also found THIS.

A word from the wise, if you want cheap, check the reseller ratings before you buy, so you don't end up waiting a month for your card, or get a DOA card. Many many times I've found that it's worth not having to deal with the hassell to pay $10 more, and get your product in a timely manner, than save the dough, and get crap.

What do you think? It says the memory speed is 250 Mhz which is what I want, correct? It doesn't mention the processor speed........but would it be fair to assume that it is 250 Mhz also? Thanks

Looks like a Sapphire card, which does not mean it's guaranteed 250/250. Notice it says Maximum memory Interface :12GB/s with 250MHZ DDR. If you look at the Sapphire website, they have 8500LE cards ranging from 250/183 to 250/200 to 250/250.

I would reccomend Newegg.com...I've heard nothing but good things about them, and they usually have very low prices. I would go for the 128mb version if I were you, it doesn't cost much more, but the extra memory is useful in games like UT2003. Also check out the 9100. It has lower clock speeds though...check out some reviews first. Oh, and the 9000 is also very comparable.

Also, I would reccomend getting either a Sapphire card or a built by ATI card; they seem to have the best 2D output.
