It's not that, it's that 5 million people after their fix hit up the web page instead of the game servers

First extended down time till 11am.. now it's just plain down at 1:10 pm =\

The forums use the same login servers as the game, so yeah. (any new posts during maintenance are done by people who haven't logged out of the forums)

And them being down is more from the influx of everyone reading the forums for their wow fix. (I do it too)

I hope they fix the out of combat bug. (can't restealth in combat)

Most of the realms appeared to be up until about 20 minutes ago at which time the website went completely down (it was somewhat up earlier) and the login servers crashed. Note that there was no patch released as of 20 minutes ago. Also, this is a crash as indicated by the message 30 minutes ago saying they were working on bringing the last realms back up from maintinence.

No and even though they claim that all the realms are back up, many realms such as Aegywygn are still not

"the poor hamster powering the servers probally needed a breather. A GM went out to go get a new one - realms will be up as soon as the GM returns from the pet store"

"update : the gm bought a rabbit, it's too big, servers will be up soon once the dev's design a bigger wheel"

yup, i can't believe even a year later they haven't fixed that. good game (until lvl 60) except for all the stupid crap like that
