I know they can have kids by each other but I'm sitting here picturing and imagining a father lion and a mother lion and some kids..is that considered an animal married couple? of which animal species is there the most monogomy? Do you think domestic animals are less stable (ie dogs in residential neighborhoods). Which animal type is the most nurturing (male animals). I hear Apes and monkeys are pretty close-knit.

Most apes and monkeys are not monogamous, nor are humans most of the time.
There are a few species which are though, a few so extreme they won't even look for a new partner if their's dies.

The reason there are so few is because a lot went extinct.

That would be a good reason to make humanity truly monogamous ;)

The bald eagle is monogamous (if that word/sentiment can be applied to an animal.) If a man/woman, who was legally married, went about fornicating with everything he/she saw, would we not refer to that person as an animal???

No, animals can't get married. They don't have a legal system of their own.

Yeah, I've seen a couple of ants how they had a big party with all the fancy cakes, etc.

Marriage is a human concept "Mating" in the sense of two animals joining together and maybe staying that way for the rest of their lives is the aninal concept.

I could see marriage maybe being done away with after a while and us almost reverting to a more "mating" like thing...or something new....who knows....not sure if it will be good or bad.

humans get married, humans are animals, so yes. it is a waist of time with any other animals to get married. we need to be more like the other animals

I saw a momma and father goose the other day and 4 baby geese around a neighborhood. It was very cute and they seemed quite monogomous.

Bunnies are not faithful to one pancake, they do any they can get. You may think that's syrup on your pancake, but look closer...

I just remembered: I've seen uh . . . dog fanatics dressing their dogs in clothing and marrying them in a ceremony. Very disturbing.

And where is that bunny? :|
