can an iso file get corrupted by a virus, etc?

do i need to worry about this file getting messed up like other exe files that i have on my computer?

Probably not. Most viruses when they target files, target core Windows and often Office files too. It'll either wipe everything or leave the rest of your files alone. So your ISO files should be safe.

Unless the virus is in one of the files within the .iso. Or if a virus is written specifically to target .isos.
