Depends on what you mean by 'soul'. If you go by straight definition, then no, because only humans have souls. However if you mean is it possible all or some of <some group of fauna/flora> connected via <something that is non-material> then yes, I think it is possible, though I don't believe it.

what is there to discuss? your question is about something that is simply unknowable by our current level of understanding. we don't even know if "souls" even exist, let alone some kind of shared soul of an entire species.

though I do sometimes wonder if a complex system such as our society or the environment is on some level conscious.
