can all pci-e mobos accept regular ddr memory (e.g. pc3200 ddr400 the ones i have) or am i forced to purchase ddr2 modules?

Uhh, unless It's an intel mobo that supports ddr2 only, then no. But for AMD, all mobos support ddr.

No, it cannot accept both. it depends on your motherboard.....just read the specs.

Current Intel motherboards only support DDR2, while AMD motherboards only support DDR.
