I broke my finger once trying to catch a baseball bare handed. It hit my middle finger straight on the tip and broke it, as well as tore the fingernail back. So yes, a baseball can break your finger.

Shit, I had a bouncing softball break my pinky all the way down the side of my hand. Fucking ball took a bad hop in a patch of dirt in the outfield and I went to grab it barehanded because of the hop and it hit right on top of the finger and pushed it in a good 1/2 inch or so into my hand. Broken finger and broken hand were the result.

Peace

Did you throw the runner out?

It can happen, but if you can bend it I doubt it's broken.

I have broken my foot and my arm. I broke my arm in football and it was like an inch from my shoulder. I could move it and everything. My coaches didn't think it was broken. Neither did my doctor. But 2 X-rays later and I'm in a sling (dr. Didn't want to cast Tht far up arm). I could move it. When I broke my foot, I walked on it and a week later I found out it was broken. So you can bend it and use it but it might be broken.

P.s. I'm not trying to prove you wrong. I know you said you doubt it's broken but, I'm just stating what I went through.
