If I tried to pay a $75 bill with all nickels/dimes/pennies can the merchant legally require another form of payment and refuse to accept my change?

I thought it was required by law that all forms of legal tender are to be accepted as payment for goods/services rendered.

I want links to proof, people!

Maybe he is pissed off about a $75 bill and wants to be a dick about it by paying it in pennies?

I'd kick your arse out of my store.

I've done it to kids who want to come in and buy something worth $20 with nickles dimes and quarters before. It's not worth my time to sit there and count your money for you, when there is a bank on the corner that will.
