My wife has a Dell Inspiron 5100. Two days ago she found the ac adapter light out, and the battery ran down. I struggled with Dell (this is not to be a rant about how difficult Dell has become) and finally got someone who agreed to send us a new ac adapter. Luckily a friend had one that she could borrow till the replacement came. Last night that one died, too.
So it looks like the laptop is killing the adapter. Anyone heard of this before? I've been trying to get through to Dell again and while I wait I thought I would try the Forum.
