Hello Friends,

Could somebody tell me how far can reach a e6400 on a P5n32 Premium Board.??
I want to try 3.GHz, if this is possible with stock cooling?

I have Xms2 800MHZ 2G, a P5n32 Premiium and the CPU mentioned,

Thanks

Doubt it, the board seems to max at around 300ish FSB. So you're hoping for around the mid 2Ghz level from a E6400.

You can hit 330 with a Pencil mod and better cooling on the northbridge. So 330 * 8 you are looking at 2.6 ghz. Its a horrible board unfortunetly...I have heard rumors some companies are going to allow a discount on the 650i and 680i as kind of a step-up though, so we will see I guess. Best bet is to purchase one that will do better speed.

Cheers.

Availibility? I'm gonna guess demand will be heavy the first two weeks at least. Alot of people are waiting for these mobos so I'm inclined to think demand will outstrip supply at first despite the manufacturers best efforts to supply the consumer.
