Can a different BIOS version and board show a ten degree hotter CPU temp?

Hi, i swapped my Asus A7Pro out for a Asus A7A266. With the A7Pro the BIOS showed my temp as 47c highest. With the BIOS for this new board(A7A266) and BIOS it shows ten degrees hotter. WTF? Yes the HSF were installed with the mobo out of the case obviously and there was thermal paste applied and it was perfectly flat. I looked at all angles. I've installed them when the mobo was in the case and i get it right so i know it's not that. Is it the senor on this board or like i said the BIOS? Any feedback would be great. No lockups, nothing, it runs great.

Yes different boards give different temps ,Asus boards always give a higher figure then the real world and I would not worry since you say it`s stable.

Different bios's can also be optimized differently and therefore run the chip harder and hotter.

It has to be the board or the BIOS because i just took the motherboard out and reseated the HSF and even did the flashlight trick to see if there were gaps and it was flat as a table again. I'm using a OCZ Gladiator w/delta as well which is what is bumming me out.
