Well that's not true. Take killer bees. They're invasion of the southern US has slowed because they make their hives near the ground where they become tasty snacks for the fire ants!
So... fire ants are the real degens, or what?

Yes.... so much pork"Against relief for the Northeast"?
I don't recall anyone against relief for those affected by the hurricane Sandy.
The opposition arose from pork spending crammed into the bill mostly unrelated to those in the NE and/or even hurricane Sandy damage.
If the Repubs try to do likewise I hope it will be opposed as well.

So was the $50 billion bill filled with pork — two-thirds of which was unrelated to Sandy?
...
The Congressional Research Service issued a comprehensive report on the provisions, and it’s clear that virtually all of it was related to the damage caused by Sandy. There may have been some pork in an earlier Senate version, but many of those items were removed before final passage. There were also some items that appear to have been misunderstood.
The short answer is no. Republicans are so full of shit when it comes to spending and their idiots keep falling for it every time. When are you people going to wake the hell up?Just read this story. I was unaware that a lot of what was complained about got cut anyway.
I wonder if anybody is going to demand spending offsets this time around.
I would say 'basic human decency'. You're absolutely right that those conservatives from the south who voted against Sandy relief are terrible, immoral hypocrites. It's hard to see how letting people suffer and die in the states they represent as a lesson to them to vote more intelligently in the future makes you much better than Cruz and company though.
I know it's satisfying to see people suffer consequences for their shittiness, but this is literally people's lives.
If communities want to build on land susceptible to hurricanes, they should not be subsidized by the federal government to do so. They are taxing the entire country to constantly rebuild communities which will be destroyed again in a few years. It is illogical and incredibly SELFISH.

People are seeing red not because it is Texas, its because Texas senators, Pence, Ryan et al either voted against aid for blue parts of the country or wanted budget offsets which caused delays. With Texas they will want aid unencumbered and want it quickly. While I believe that the fed gov't .. should provide aid for any area of the country that is stricken with a natural disaster. Many here are just see red when Texas is mentioned. Actually the area of Texas that probably needs aid the most (Houston) is probably heavily democratic.
When I spoke to the Jacksonville District USACE Deputy Commander in June I asked her about storm budgets because the current year budget only has $35 million allocated to hurricanes. She informed me that the funds for such events are appropriated as the need arises so TX should receive additional funding through that process. I would imagine that LA will need help too by the time its all said and done.Just read this story. I was unaware that a lot of what was complained about got cut anyway.

Normally my reaction would be haha but people of Texas caught in the middle because of these Republican shits.Just heard a new (Republican?) sponsored Law regarding disputed flood claims goes into effect on Friday. TX is recommending everyone get their claims filed by end of day Friday. Basically the law makes disputing damage assessments harder.
Trump reversed regulations to protect infrastructure against flooding just days before Hurricane Harvey
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...icane-harvey/ar-AAqRKYZ?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=ientpBut because of Trump's rollback of Obama's Federal Flood Risk Management Standards, experts across the political spectrum say much of the federal money sent to Texas will likely be wasted on construction that will be insufficiently protected from the next storm
Obviously in all situations you save lives whenever you can. Period.
However, in P&N land, Texas doesn't need help from anybody. Texas has been trying to get out from under America's boot since 1861. Just in 2013 Texas again petitioned the White House to allow them to secede and over 125,000 Texans signed it. Would be funny as hell to watch Trump grant them their sovereignty now to save the bailout money.
... conservatives from southern states (even Texas, lul) were against disaster relief for Northeast states during hurricane sandy?
Both Cruz and Conryn were against relief for the Northeast now they want handouts. This is bullshit. Fuck Texas, imo. I think the free market should sort this one out.
That is less than one half of one percent of Texas's population.
