Rather, it refers to the fact that you can't use your foreskin afterwords, much like women can't use their labia and/or clitoris anymore after female genital mutilation.
That's one of the many things Islam adopted from the Bible, namely Leviticus 19:28. Furthermore, as the Wiki article you linked says:
Granted, whether a tattoo degrades or enhances the appearance of one's skin is a matter of opinion, but for those on the former side of the argument tattooing does constitute a form of mutilation.
Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, and such body modifications should only be allowed at the discretion of the individuals themselves. Granted, I'm sure Oprah Winfrey and everyone else who makes big bucks of the foreskin harvest would prefer to keep their gravy train of infant mutilation rolling.
you argument is based on the opinion of the worth/use of the foreskin.
I really don't see it as mutilation, at all. its a reach. the penis works just fine, and is supposedly less prone to infection and STD's afterwords.
and as far as leviticus, supposedly in the bible god called on all chrisitians to circumcise themselves source
