The mclaren f1 hits 100mph in like 7 seconds. f'n amazing. In 7 seconds, my car lunges to 35mph on a good day.

.......i don't know. let me clean my pants real quickly. nah honestly though, that car is amazing. the closest i've come to seeing something like that is a friend's godfather's (yeah, yeah...friend of a friend of a friend deal) lamborghini miura. didn't get to drive it because it had a flat at the time, but i did get to drive his wive's ferrari mondial. they are pretty well off. their collection includes:

lamborghini miura
2 (yes 2) ferrari mondials
austin mini cooper
porsche 912
jaguar xke
and....this is the kicker: a saturn station wagon 🙂 (gotta have a get-around-the-town car)

I have an article about that car in which the salesman said you can put it into gear and start driving without using the gas pedal. The car has so much torque that it will do 70 mph in 6th gear with out every pressing the accelerator.

Yakko, I can take off in my $7000 Mercury Mistique without even using the gas.

Pop it into first, ease up on the clutch, car takes off without even using the gas 🙂 Granted, the idle speed is only 10 MPH, but still, it's pretty cool to pop the clutch without killing the car.
