My Focus is more reliable, has gone faster than this BMW ever will, is better equipped (thanks to my college-studentness), is more manueverable, cost 1/5th the money, and looks better (the 3-series and 5-series for this gen look like butt). Only spot where I lose is brand engineering.

She's bleeding.

O stop it. No way a Focus can outhandle and manuever a 3 series.

FWD Econbox vs RWD sport sedan.....

If its more than her income, that is retard if its not then she is not retard, she wanted she got what she wanted.

I plaid for my M3 in full when I bought it. I will not buy a car I can't afford.

lol, please...

There are people who pay over MSRP just to be the first ones to own a new model, just like people are doing for the Civic si and the GTI. Dealers mark up over MSRP just cause they are new.

If you want to be the first one on the block to have one sometimes you have to pay more.

She wanted it no matter the cost she paid the cost for what she wanted and though was a good deal, to you its not a good deal and she got raped, but to her it was. Stop the hate.

doesn't change the fact that she is retarded and makes poor decisions Agaruvala.

I know the type though. probably young professional with her first taste of a decent salary and blows it on a overpriced car. happens all the time.

-edit-
couple this with a woman walking into a BMW showroom and she's gonna get raped. The salesguys were probably literally fighting eachother to ream her on her purchase.

OK ia agree with you there, I took my mother to buy her BMW five , just to stop them from raping her. I have owned

over 5 BMWs some new some used and the sales people there do try and rape you by the blinded side.

Oh, she got hooked up alright. That's a terrible deal.

+1
that sounds like a terrible deal considering all the lease specials I've seen in the papar.
Besides:

24x420 = 10080 + 3900 = $13980 after 2 years with nothing to show for. There is no way in hell a 325 that originally cost $33K will depreciate to $19K after 2 years.

I laugh when people say "I know a car salesman at X dealer who promised to hook me up!!" 9 out of 10 times those people get screwed in the price.

I never understood how paying a car upfront in cash (using savings, not a HELOC for instance) is better than financing it. I bought my G35 financing 25K for 3 years @ 1.99%. HSBC is already at 4.8% for online savings. It makes much more sense to put as little as possible down and put the money in my HSBC account. This obviosly doesn't work with the "I want my monthly payment to be as little as possible" crowd.

There was a similar discussion regarding student loans. When it comes down to it, some people just don't like having debt at all.

Because any rate that's lower than you could get in a savings account is most likely a promotional rate. Most people who pay cash for a car would otherwise be paying 5+% on a loan.

Why are you paying that off so fast? Why not stretch it out over 5 years? That's what I'm doing with my 1.9% loan. :) Stretching my student loans out over 15 years. Could pay both off today if I wanted to.

Many, many, many people don't understand how to make money and manage debt. Good for you for doing the smart thing.

A lot of people understand, but choose not to carry debt. I am literally debt free.

I guess he thinks he's the sh|t since he's done 95 mph in his crappy focus vs. a business woman doing 80 mph on the interstate.

The promotion was 1.99% for 3 years or 3.99% for 5 years. The monthly payment sounds scary (almost $700). Everytime I write the check I get pissed off and wonder why my payment is not $300-$400 like most people :p
