I'm thinking about buying a cheap LED projector, but I'm not sure I can output the correct resolution for it. From all the reviews I've read the projector sucks at downscaling so I want to send it its native resolution and let the PC do the work. Anyone tried something like this before?

I'm also considering getting a cheap 4:3 normal projector for about $300 since I know I can output 800 x 600. However I like the fact this one will last longer even though it's like 500 times less bright.
