Spring time and summer is coming soon and I wanted to get ready for camping. Where are some good places to go in your area? Also what are some of the necessities for a good trip? What equipment do you use or recommend? How much do these items cost? Any camping stories? Experiences?

Thermo Foil Blanket
Hand warmers
Baby wipes (to feel fresh)
flash lights (w/ extra batteries)
couple of zip lock bags
two candles
First Aide Kit
Equipment:
Tent (2-man) w/ foot print and wind/water proof cover or tarp.
Thin sleeping bag with thermal clothing to keep from sweat moisture making you cold at night. (30-40+ rating)
Compact stove
Backpack (good internal frame, good lumbar support)
# Map (in a watertight case)
# Compass (plus an optional GPS receiver)
# Extra clothing (men's, women's, kids')
# Extra food and water
# First-aid kit
# Headlamp or flashlight (with extra batteries)
# Matches (storm proof, or in a watertight container)
