I'm having Progresso now. I had Campbell's about 2 weeks ago. They taste about the same. I do have anothe can of Campbell's, but I'm not about to open 2 cans up to go heads up... Maybe when I have more time =P

Edit: 100% more pollage added. I grew up as a Campbell's kid.

Edit2: Pictures
Left = Progresso

Edit 3: I believe I was comparing Campbell's Select with Progresso... both of the ready to serve versions.

Chunky is a grade above and would be an unfair comparison.

I used to only eat Snows canned chowder, its the kind thats like gelatin in a can and you mix it with milk. My new favorite canned chowder is campbell's chunky. Progresso is okay, but it tastes a little too herb-y

I like Campbell's. I have tried several kinds of Progresso and did not like any of them.

I Eat a lot of Clam chowder over the cold months, and prefer the Campbells Chunky. I have bought the progresso when it has been on sale, but it's not quite as good as the Chunky.

The last time I had Progresso (a few years back), it was thinner than Campbell's and didn't have as much body of taste.

campbell's chunky with some fresh cracked black pepper and maybe 1/2 a spoonful of parmesan cheese.

Campbell's is better than Progresso, but nothing beats fresh. It's not hard to make good chowder.

i have eaten both warm and both cold right out of the can. the chunky one is gnarly when it is cold. its like jello. the progresso isnt thick at all. that being said, when warm the chunky is superior because it has more clam and potatoes. the progresso has better consistency in both cases but the chunky is more filling when warm.

Open a Can of Campbell's chicken soup, then open Progresso chicken soup (or any other flavor). You will discover how bland Campbell's has been all these years.

Well I thinkI forgot to clarify that we should be comparing apples and oranges.

I meant to compare Campbell's Select w/ Progresso Traditional Soup Clam Chowder.

Campbell's Chunky is in a total different league. Doesn't that compare with Progresso's Rich & Hearty line?
