I found a deal at a local retail store for an S2 IS for $179. I now have a S2 IS and an SD550. Which one should I keep?

It probably comes down to do you want more features or something compact?

Keep both.

I have an S2 IS and a SD630.

The S2 is an awesome camera, but a bit big to carry with you all of the time.

I've been struggling with this same question for awhile - I have a S1 with a underwater case and the 1.6x lens. I use 4GB cards in it and have been using it for pic + video since the S1 was released. It was (and is) great in replacing my digicam + videocam for vacations, events, etc.

However, I've been yearning towards something small for amusement parks, etc for awhile.

I think I'm going to dump the underwater case for the S1, but keep it and the tele lens for kids sports, plays, etc where I'd be shooting from a distance. For vacation/etc use I'm going to pic up one of the smaller canons - maybe a s450 (I have to compare features still) + an underwater case.

So yeah - keep both :)

yes. :)

Well if you can manage both, then go for it, but I was recently deciding between compact vs the S3IS and I went with compact. I figured a few years down the road I might want to get into DSLR and the S3 would be worthless to me then... but I'd still have a use for a compact camera.

You still may want the S3. I used to travel with a Canon SD400 and a Pentax *ist D (now DL) and there were many times I wished for something more compact but more versatile than the SD400. My friend had an S2 when we went to Italy and I was pretty jealous.
