Camera is a Sony DSC-N1. I can see the pictures when memory card is in the camera. However, when I put card into card reader on my printer it says memory card error. I even tried it on a stand alone sandisk card reader and it doesn't work. I think it may have to due with album settings on the camera itself but not sure. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help.

The memory card works ok in the camera but not with a reader?

The album settings shouldn't have anything to do with it
Does it work if you use a USB cable to connect the camera to the computer?

Don't have the usb cable for the camera, as I bought it used. I bought the duo card retail. This particular camera uses a proprietary cable, so it was cheaper to just buy a card reader.

The only thing I can think of would be to format the card

Its unusual to see it happening like this
usually the card will just die and not work anywhere

Do you have another card reader you could try?

Could even try the card reader on those photo printing things at walmart or wherever

Thanks for the replies snoturtle.

I can definately see all the pictures on the camera, which is the wierd part. Yea, my next step is to try card reader at CVS or similar place. Format isn't an option as my gf's sister took all her homecoming pictures on it :(
