Jesus, someone should have taken a barstool and broken it over the guy's head. I'm surprised she wasn't knocked unconscious by some of those hits, they looked pretty forceful.

That's what I was thinking. It looked like he was either kneeing her or kicking her at one pont.

i don't think they were landing squarly. watch the bar itself the ash try's are moving and bouncing around.

but still one taugh broad.

Damn, I get mad every time I watch that:|

I can't beleive those guys just stood around and watched🙁

I would have taken an arse whoopin and went to jail if necessary just to get a few good licks on that fool!

To be fair, these days if a bystander steps in next thing you know they are being sued and are on trial for being a good samritan. Sad state of affairs really.

I'd have to have a lot of adrenaline to do that... a 250 pound guy is no laughing matter.

It gets worse. Read this article.

According to the article the Chicago Police Department was going to charge him only with a misdemeanor without telling the State's Attorney?s Office, but prosecutors took over and filed felony aggravated battery charges.

It says that someone came in moments after the attack and attempted to offer the victim money in order for her not to prosecute the defendant.

It says that the cop had attacked another customer earlier that evening.

It also says that the cop had been hired despite having prior DUIs as well as drag racing and driving on a suspended license.

Everything says this happened Feb 21 and the police couldn't find him until now.

Amazing.

as long as you were trained in hand to hand better than the police are. he may have been drunk, but he was in no way to the point where he wouldnt have had the werewithal to take on a couple drunk guys trying to stop him. im not saying you shouldnt have helped, i would have as well. but i also know my chances of getting out of there with only a couple hits were pretty slim. most it would do is redirect him to you instead of her, which would have been my goal anyway. ive done it before, ill do it again. never againstg a cop, but ive stood up and helped in bar fights around ASU country. some of those footballers there can toss a pretty good punch.

Unfortunately the worst part about police officers is they often 'look after their own' when one of them commits a crime.

NOT to mention the guy's past!

As Chris Tucker would say "You got knocked the Fvck out man."

Crazy that a man that size would open a can of whoop as$ on a tiny little woman like that.

I agree, 250 lbs is no laughing matter, but I can take care of myself. Mainly I would just be taking the hits, but I know enough that I can dish out a few hits too.

Waiting for the idiots to start posting that she shouldn't have pissed off a cop

Seriously. "HURRR, YOU SHOULD DO EVERYTHING THE COPS TELL YOU AT ALL TIMES HURRRR"

 There's a big difference between complying with an officer who is in uniform and acting in his capacity as a police officer, and doing the same for an officer who is off duty and out of uniform.

You have to wonder why no one helped. 🙁

Seriously. The one guy looked like he was dialing his phone (to call the police), but the other guy was just going back and forth. Between the two of them they could have restrained the guy.

LOL STUPID WOMAN, THAT'S WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU PISS OFF A COP.

YOU SHOULD DO EVERYTHING THE COPS TELL YOU AT ALL TIMES.

If the bystanders knew he was an off-duty police officer, that might explain why they didn't intervene. Given they guys background, and the way that jurisdiction "looked after their own", maybe they thought they'd be charged with assault on an officer if they tried to stop him.
