Camera bag & rechargeable batteries - free after rebate Circuit City

Nice. Ordered one for instore pickup and if everything all comes together, it'll be ~$1 for four NiMH batteries. 🙂 Thanks SimMike2!

I don't think it is out of stock at too many locations. There are three local stores in Seattle where it is available. A "BIG YMMV" usually means unadvertised local mark-down specials which end up being available at only a few stores in the whole country.

I doubt it... At my CC we unloaded nearly 50-70 off the truck on christmas eve....

Hi all,

The fine print for the rebate states:

Limit 1 rebate(s) or other promotional offer(s)
per person
per purchase

What does this mean in rebate speak? Can I get more than one rebate if I make more than one purchase?

Thanks,

EricR 😕

Looks like CC just removed the second rebate of that item. Seems the second rebate was a duplicate of the first. I wonder if CC will honor both for the people that have already ordered. I was going to get that too, but I wanted CC to sort all of that out first.

Good question. If you buy 3 but you're only allowed 1 rebate then it's 1 per person. If you're allowed 3 rebates then it's 1 per purchase. It doesn't make any sense to me to say both "per person" AND "per purchase."

Nice deal, I will head over there tomorrow. I need the case worse than anything although spare batteries are always good! 🙂

I picked this up yesterday at the B&M. The batteries and charger are the best part of this deal. The case is too small from my Nikon Coolpix 995. Thanks for the post.

Just picked it up...the battery charger is an overnight charger just to warn you guys. The whole package is pretty cheap and generic, but for $0 after MIR its not bad at all!

Thanks.

The Gateway (NE 102nd) in Portland, Oregon had a pyramid of these, about 20.

Picked one up and gave it to a co-worker who recently purchased a cheapie HP digicam.

I picked this up 12-27 and there were still a few in the store. When I went onto the Circuit City rebate website to process this I had a problem. When I entered the program number it said the rebate expired 12-6-03. I'll call the help line tomorrow to see why this is different than the end date on my receipt.

Can't order online here and my 2 local B&M are all out and I don't feel like driving over an hour to the nearest 🙂

I spoke to Angela who said the rebate form would be honored. The web site is not updated, so send in the forms.

It is made in China.

fair warning case stinks like mothballs.
Is it made in China? 😉

Yeah, the case smells like a bad mousepad. But I set it on the windowsill for a couple of days and the smell amost went away totally. So I think the smell will disappear within a few days of airing out. So it isn't like one of those mousepads that still smell after months.

You can go to the link and enter your zipcode to bring up a list of CC B&M stores that have it in stock. It wasn't at the nearest but I went to the next closest and snagged one. The folks behind me in line had one too, and they were all over it. I think they got it at Ben's Bargains.

Thanks to the OP and AllP!

PS Don't forget to get your rebate form at the checkout. The guy forgot to give it to me and I went back and got it.

The enclosed warranty statement says you have to follow the instructions, and they're presumably talking about the batteries/charger. But mine didn't come with any instructions. Did yours? The closest thing to instructions is the statement on the box:

Overnight Battery Charger with Short Circuit protection prevents over charging.

Seems wierd. Says the batteries have no memory effect and can be charged over 1000 times. Do they have an expected life span, though? NiCads used to be said to last maybe 5 years and then they lose their effectiveness.
