Fond memories of Cape Breton Island. Went through the Canso strait in '85 aboard a square-rigged ship and they lined both sides of the locks with pipers and piped us through. Not to mention busing all the elementary kids down to watch us. Later that day we tied up in Souris and couldn't pay for a beer anywhere on the island. The Maritimes are awesome. Welcome to the forums.

Hey! Found my way back after losing the bookmark for this place, and couldn't remember the name of it. Now I can get back to participating a little more than never. :D

Thanks for all the nice welcomes and other comments.

so he's brand new and already figured out how to multiquote?

Whatever
See the next quote.

lots of forums use vbulletin or whatever this software is
Exactly. In fact my vBulletin experience goes back ten years, I run two vBulletin forums plus handle all the tech and design stuff for 5 others. Not only that, I'm on the alpha/beta test team for the software.

So yes, I should know how to multi-quote by now.

Annnnnd six years later he returns to find that his multi-quote knowledge killed the thread.

I wonder how many members have read this thread without checking the timestamps and thinking it's brand new? :D

So that's what you think I am? The Trump administration has really brought out the paranoia in you I see, comrade.

Did I say I did? No reading comprehension and super defensive -- you'd fit right in over there.
LOL - not defensive at all. Your comment was so out of the blue and in left field that I figured you suspected me of being a hijacked account. Not knowing this place well enough, I have no idea why you'd say what you said so I said what I said to make both things that were said make what was said seem like something sensible to say. ...or something like that.

Well I'm glad SOMEbody is happy to see me. LOL.

I shut down cbiweb.com because it stopped being profitable. I started it in 1999 and had a thriving business for 13 years. But with all the DIY web builders, and mobile design taking over (which I just didn't have time to educate myself on), I packed it in. At the time I joined these forums the site was closed but I was still designing sites on a part time basis. I've since gotten back to my first career as a professional musician.
