Came across a computer cheap, will this run some games ok.....

I got a pentium 3 600, and some intel MB, and 256 mb of ram...... with an 8mb rage video card.

Will this run mame games like Metal Slug 2 on mame???

Yup. All Neo Geo games should work fine.

Mortal Kombat 3, on the other hand...

Get a better video card and it will run things pretty well.

its will run basically any emulated game. get a better video card and you will be able to run just about anything

Well im getting it for like 30 bucks, i need a hard drive and stuff though.

I thought mame was manily cpu based and not video card.

I have a P3 600 with a Geforce3 ti200 and it can run UT2k3.....I think that one will be able to handle mame .

Could someone with a similar setup test the game for me??? I dont have a hard drive and a few other things for it, so i cant :-/

Who cares about cs and q3, I want to use this as a MAME machine and MAME only, It will mainly run metal slug and other neo geo games, i know it can handle games like pacman though....

My point was that if it'll play those (relatively) advanced FPS's, it won't have any problem with MAME.

hope so, just got a 19 inch tv tonight to go in it, 105 bucks, not that great of a deal but still decent.
