Camcorder Cable

I have a camcorder with a port labled "DV" on it. I know its a firewire, but I looked on newegg and was unable to find which one I need, does anyone know what Im talking about:?

Firewire = IEEE1394 = I.Link

the camcorder has a 4 pin firewire, and your computer probably has a 6 pin. So you need a 4 pin / 6 pin cable...whatever length you want. However, some laptops have 4 pin firewire...so check.

Oh, if you computer doesn't have a firewire port, you need to buy a firewire card also to add that port.

so your typical 4-6 pin cable on newegg will do?

yep, assuming your desktop has a 6 pin port (which is standard)

it does... the only problem is that I need this cord ASAP!!! and I dont think itll get here in time from them

most electronics places carry them...best buy, circuit city, compusa, maybe radio shack?

of course it won't be as cheap as newegg, etc. maybe $20 or so, but it will work the same
