That's right, kiddies, schools in the Cambridge system will now choose one of two approved Muslim holidays.

Want to hear something really funny? Christmas break is now "Winter Vacation". Good Friday is now part of "April Vacation".

But all Cambridge schools will choose between Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as a Muslim holiday.

There is an Arab saying, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Progressives have wholeheartedly adopted this concept to combat their enemy - Christianity. (Sorry - Winter Vacationism.)
 
FUUUCK. What's next? We give holidays to every stinking religion in the world? We'd run out of days in the week. I guess the Unions just wanted more vacation time.

I live near Cambridge, MA. I happen to have half of an actual idea why their schools might contemplate observing a Muslim holiday...

...It might be because... that much of the student body is actually MUSLIM!!!

It's one of the most ethnically and racially diverse cities on the face of the planet, Cambridge, MA.

Those of you who know nothing about the place, really need to STFU and let them handle their own affairs. Or hide under your bed and pee your own pants about them Mooslims some more for all I care. You're pathetic.

If the school is receiving public dollars, then it shouldn't be observing any religious holidays, regardless of the makeup of the student body. If a private school wants to observe religious Muslim holidays, then that's no problem.
 
MA left loons don't surprise me anymore, I wont be surprised even if they declare themselves as a Muslim state or adopt Sharia law...

Frankly, US ranks one of the lowest in terms of federal holidays, so adding a few wont hurt... I want one for Diwali too!!!!
 
We need Fridays off as well, the Muslim Holy Day. That way we have all of our bases covered.

Keep in mind that the growing influence of Islam (majority of middle-eastern immigrants) and Catholicism (majority of Hispanic immigrants) will cause this nation to be more socially conservative down the road.

We need a Mormon Holiday. I am tired of all holidays like labor day and jump in the lake day and whatever other progressive days we celebrate. How about Pioneer Day? July 24th Which celebrates Brigham Young arriving at the Salt Lake Valley and pronounced this is the place. This may already be a holiday in Utah. It is a lot better than Pulaski Day. (A polish General that taught marching formations and military discipline.) I would rather celebrate freedom than killing people.

They are forced to say it?

I recall that during my high school and elementary school years, there were plenty of kids that did not say it and (voluntarily) refused to attend any event where it was said. Many of them were Pentecostals that viewed it as idol worship (of the flag), sure there were some other faiths mixed in there that do not acknowledge God (should be easy enough for a Muslim, since Jewish / Christian God = Allah (to them)).
 
Simple problem to solve: No More School Holidays for any reason.

Why not? The teachers and kids are already off for a couple months during the summer. That's enough vacation.
 
So if they get that holiday off but school calls it Autumn holiday like they call Christmas Winter Vacation, the right wingers will be satisfied?
