Whell, soon will be my birthday, so Want good tipe of speakers. The only thing is that I live in chile and is very dificult to get the cambridge (4-point) fps 2000, so maybe I will just buy the fps1000. My question is: what is the diferent betwen those two model (I know the color?.

Thanks a lot

fps2000 are digital, they have like twice the power of the 1000's,the remote has control for front-rear balance... If you ask me,they're worth the extra money.

Oh, and they're black too... :)

The digitals won't produce any better sound quality then the analogs if you don't have digital out on your sound card. Most SB Live cardds need an addon digital card except for the x-gamer and platinum.

If you can afford the 2000's get them though even if you don't have digital out, becuase someday you will have digital out and it'll be swank.

Yes, ok, but I have the sound blaster live! (oem), and I nkow that the x-gamer and mp3+ have the same chip and board, the only that change is the software. So what is the big different betwen the fps 1000 and 2000? the digital?,

Ok thanks

fps2000=4x7watts for satellites+25watt sub= 53 Watts

fps1000=4x3.5watts for satellites+10 watt sub=24 Watts

so the 2000's are more than twice the power, better sound too.
And if you have the Live Value oem, you either already have digital output, or you get an add-on board with the speakers that connects to your card which gives you digital out.

if it has a fifth connector in the back (the yellow one, marked spdif) then you do have it, if you don't, the 2000's come with a little board that connects to your soundcard to give you spdif out

yeah check for the yellow output, that's the digital thingie. Digital sounds FAR better than non-digital, it's really worth going for.

as already said in the post, the 2000'ers are more powerful, are digital, have a kool black design, and are easier to operate (I think). so get them :)

..and if the fps2000's you get don't come with the board (mine didn't), they tell you to call up support and they'll send you the board for free (they sent it to me)

Wow, I din`t know that the fps 2000 included the digital card :) ...Thats cool, I hope that is true because I read about it in the sound blaster homepage, and it didn`t say that there`s is a card included, so, the fps2000 included a digital card? and why some sound blaster live card included the digital out, and some not (the same model)?

Thanks
