enjoy.

Hah, GM mad that Mustang stole the thunder, but they gotta watch out about stepping on big brother Vette's toes. Or do they? 😉

Yeah, the Z/28 (Z28) has been the top dog model for most of the Camaro's life. I think it was only with the last gen that the SS became top dog.

Thats the point. Most know the Z28 as the base V8 and the SS as the high end performance model.

Wow...interesting what price point this will come in at. $40K base? If so, it will be quite the performance bargain even with a few options.

The Z06 weighs 3076 lb. The ZR1 weighs 3333 lb. The Camaro SS is 3860 lb (3913 with automatic). There is no toe stepping to be concerned about.

First, the Z28 has been a rumor for a long time and the car has only been out a year. They are competing with Ford, but this has been on the radar for awhile.

Secondly, the car will probably go up to around 4000lbs. The power to weight ratio with 558hp will be the same as a base Vette. They will probably cost around the same amount and it will come down to wanting either a lighter sports car or a heavier muscle car.

They can stick the same motor out of the vette in it, its still not going to make it 1000 lbs lighter, or improve the suspension, I think the vette's safe.

6 liters *and* blower now, no more excuses and no more bitching. 🙂

Wait, LSA has hyper E pistons and powdered rods, wtf GM?

Even if it's much heavier than the vette I assume it will bite into SOME sales. That is a lot of horses for the price, though.

It'll almost make up for their ultra crappy interior. Almost.

It did in the 4th gen. So many people bought that car because it's fun as hell and responded well to mods. It was not full of creature comfort, it DID have a mean ass motor though.

They make the CTS-V for you. I can assure you however that nobody is going to care about or remember interior when they have their foot in the floor in their pretty fast (to them) car and they are still getting passed.

By a very small percentage of cars on the road, it'll smoke 99% of four wheeled vehicles.

Wow, how many cars can they throw that 6.2 in? Cobalt anyone?

This will only be the second car for the LSA. The LS3 is only in the Vette and Camaro at this time. IMO, they need to have the LSA in more cars to bring the $14k price down.

I understand they are different engines but I'm talking about the core 6.2L. It's amazing to me how their cars can share that same engine space.
