Camaro doing the 1/8th in 5.68 seconds. *w/ video!*

Nice!! I was over at the 1/8 mile track in Sanger, TX a couple weeks back - fastest car there was a Fox body stang that ripped one in 5.08 :Q The next fastest was a TBird with (I think) a 302 that ran 5.21. It amazes me how fast these cars can go. My friend's 01 Civic ran a 12.5 - everyone was laughing
 
Haha, I was at the quarter mile track on wednesday, and there were msutangs running the 1/4 faster than that civic did the 1/8th 🙂

My car did the 1/8th in 8.9
 
good god I just watched it again....it just left that other car in the dust!

Is there a 1/8 --> 1/4 conversion of some sort? (Like an equation that gives a general feeling of what you'll do in the 1/4?)

Multiply by 1.45 and add 0.8 will give it you fairly accurately.

Someone told me this once, I don't guarantee any accuracy 😛

Got news for you guys (and Notfred knows this, I'll bet) that car was a pure drag car. Bead locked slicks and prolly wheelie bars as well. Anything that leaves the line like that is a drag car. Anything that does the 1/4 in under 11 seconds is usually undriveable on the street.

110-octane race gas, 1/16th mile to the gallon. 😀

I wondered about that, it looked like it was launched off a cat. But there are street legal Vipers that will do the 1/4 in under 10.

My car is steetable and will be running 10's at Fun Ford Weekend.
