what's your ideal muscle car, then? i'd rather have a new look with inspiration from the past (new camaro) than a completely ripoff of a 60's era muscle car (new dodge challenger).
both cars look great, but i definitely like the camaro better. not only that, but it's guaranteed to have a manual (though supposedly chrysler is getting a 6spd tranny for the 6.1L engine).
 here's hoping to the camaro having the LS7!
either way- the muscle car era is coming back methinks![]()

As in the car would be 60 grand if they kept all that.

I think a roll bar or at least a style bar would help with the looks. Just like Mustangs, without a style bar, it jsut seems a bit plain and empty.
The car is better without a roll bar. The reason the Mustang has it is due to structural integrity. Remove the B and C pillars on a Mustang and the car would fold in like a taco without the bar in a major accident.

Yeah, I don't see a Camaro convertible without something similar though. The old Camaro was about as stiff as a wet noodle without a top.

It's a completely new chassis...hopefully they'd learn from the previous generations and put some extra chassis bracing into the design to eliminate the flex. I don't know much about the fourth gens, but the first upgrade ANYONE should do to a third gen F-body is a good set of weld-in subframe connectors.
I love the 09 concept...as others have said, I hope GM tells the bean counters to go F themselves and don't screw it up when they produce it. Anyone know if there are plans in the works for a Pontiac version? I've always preferred the T/A over the Camaro.
