Calling those who cast on the net....

A woodworking group I hang out with is really getting into casting when they are working on something, doing a demo or whatever. Most of them use a webcam to cast, probably because of cost. But a guy today switched to a Camcorder hooked up via FireWire and the image was much better. But then again I don't know what equipment he had and how they compare to each other.

Other than cost being a factor between the two. What do people do out there? Webcam or CamCorder?

why didnt you ask that person? I am sure he can answer your questions I know videocam is far superior than webcam I cant remember my friend had videocam hooked up directly to videocard on his desktop and I was like wow thats smooth and crispy picture.

It all depends on what web cam you are using. There are a great many webcams out there that provide better quality then some cheap cam corders can. You can find HD web cams but they will cost you.

Speaking of HD Logitech has some on webcam I bought notebook pro cam that has HD and it looks great with some programs and I paid for like 80.00
