So....I've got a couple boxes of comic books from when I was collecting them back in the early 90's. I need to get rid of them, and being that I'm several years out of the loop, was wondering if those of you currently familiar with the Industry could point me in the right direction.
I found this comics book price guide and was wondering how accurate, or trusted it is. I'm also wondering what all of this "CGC" is, as I don't remember any kind of official certification procedure to obtain maximum value for each comic--seems rather ridiculous to me, but I guess a lot has changed. CGC seems to double the "value" of each book compared to the same book of the same quality, but without the certification.
I don't have anything too valuable, but a few decent books. This is stuff from the early 90's, and a bit earlier. The first years of Image, some early Valiant books, of course tons of Marvel from that era (the new X-Men series w/ Jim Lee, Spider-Man, etc. Uncanny books mostly focused on Bishop...you get the idea)
Any tips? best way to estimate value for these, and where I should (and shouldn't) consider selling?
Thanks.
