I also call people out who wear tennis shoes in slacks. That is tacky as fuck AND against company policy.
An acquaintance in Europe (Switzerland) got called out for wearing a different outfit everyday to an office job.
That's a little hard to believe. First, it would be astronomically expensive over any long period of time. Second, someone would have be keep a meticulous record to make the claim.
I can really only see it if the person is socially clueless. I work with a lot of engineers who are like that, especially the unmarried ones who are hardcore geeks & don't have any sort of sense of fashion normalcy - it's really a MYOB thing, but there is a certain minimum you should probably stick with so as not to look like the aforementioned serial killer![]()
I wear the same outfit ever day: tan or black slacks & black or blue collared shirt. Not female, not a teenager, thus, don't care. My closet looks like Monks, a row full of the same thing![]()
However, it's funny when guys wear flight suits to my work when there isn't a military plane within 50 miles!I love wearing a uniform. It saves on clothes, lets everyone know what you do and, you don't have to think about it. Uniforms rock!
Good luck pulling that on the tech crowd. There is a price at which I'd abide by such absurd requirements but it's unlikely you have budget for it.But you no jeans or tennis shoes and you better have a collar on you shirt and your clothes better fit.
Our IT people wear collars and at least khakis. When I was slumming it out in the field I wore jeans and T shirts.Good luck pulling that on the tech crowd. There is a price at which I'd abide by such absurd requirements but it's unlikely you have budget for it.
