We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. We’ll post an update once the fix has been deployed. Thanks for your patience while we get this sorted.

Yeah, he was pretty pissed.
I trust Roger's judgement a lot. And I've never met the man. I think he reads along every so often, so he's keeping up with things.
But he's not a 13yo with nothing better to do than sit in front of the computer, and spring/early summer are the busiest times for a shop. So he's actually working...
I'm gonna have to buckle down and spend some money on my ball joints, and I really wish he was in Cali. 🙁 There's a VW specialist shop near me and they want $350 for new ball joints. :Q I'm gonna check a local shop I take the Volvo to and see what they want. But I'd rather give my $$ to Roger. 🙁

I don't blame him. Those idiots were really acting like know-it-all morons. When it comes to cars I'd take Roger's advice over either of the fools who were arguing with him.

I hadn't seen the last page or two of that thread, but reading it now, I agree completely.
He's left before. More than once. He always comes back. In a way, it kind of bothers me...it's kinda childish to always be pulling this "I'm taking my ball and going home" crap. Who cares what Munchies says? When you're right, you're right. If people don't want to believe you, screw'em.
Anyway, my bet is he'll be back in a few months with pics of some new project he worked on (like the motorcycle he built when he left last time).

You do realize why he was pissed at me right? Because he was wrong. Then all his entourage starts spouting off how he deserves respect and he has never been wrong....:roll:
He is hardly a top level mechanic in my book, perhaps the low end cars many here have and he seems to work with he is an expert. So aircooled VW crap and stuff he could be your guy, newer types like the VR6 and 1.8T....modern mechanicals I really doubt it, but take whatever I say with a grain of salt people love to just bring up a Saturn I owned for a couple years when I went back to school. Which as far as work done it had a lot...I never built it to be a 1/4 mile winner I built it as it is fun for me. Most weekends if I am not out on the boat now I am either working on it, my father's 408ci totally built Bronco, my car or someone else's who is a friend or neighbor. Anything from rotors and calipers on an Eagle Summit (I think that was it) to swapping heads on a lifted 4x4 to coilovers, stereos, etc. Tons of fabrication of tools and parts.
I don't go out of my way to go and 'get' someone...if I pulled even a third of the running around people like to do in my threads to just drop turds, I'd be banned in a heartbeat....but I don't run to the mods every two seconds with a 'oh oh oh he's picking on me now that I called him names! whelp mods whelp!' nor to I hunt threads here. It doesn't matter really if you agree or not, most people think they know it all too and will argue me until blue in the face despite looking at it proven in person.
I have been told I am wrong so many times here, but when the facts get posted all people have to do is flame me for unrelated stuff...wow.
