Calling Beer Lovers !!

I'm getting reay to go pick up a Sam Adams Holiday 12-pack. My wife wants to try a 'chocolate beer'. Well I'm not familiar with chocolate beers, so can anybody recommend one that is easily found at Liquor Barn or the like ?? Or recommend something similar that she might like ??

Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout is my favorite. If she like's stouts and dark chocolate, she will enjoy this.

It'll be a hard find out there.

For you wife: It's not going to be a yummy liquid candy bar. It comes across with a strong dark chocolate after taste. That beer fills you up. Something like a Godiva liquer might work for her.

it's good. i usually don't like flavored beer. you can also add in an ounce of Creme de Cacao to your beer and make it chocolately.

She enjoys the Godiva Liquers 😉 But she wanted a 'beer' 🙂

Sam Adams makes a chocolate beer, but it seems to be out of season 🙁

Rogue Brewery makes a Shakespeare Chocolate Stout. It's VERY expensive though...around $5.00 for a 23oz bottle.

Of the more commonly available chocolates, Youngs makes a Double Chocolate Stout that can be found at most "higher end" liquor stores. You won't find it at a gas station or your typical grocery store, but most true liquor stores will have it in cans or in bottles. I suggest to go for the cans. It's smoother.

i think sam adams has a chocolate bock. 14 or 15 dollars a bottle and not widely available

The Cream Stout from Sam Adams has chocolate and caramel malt in it - I am not a fan of it personally. That's not a seasonal beer as far as I know, but it might be hard to find.

Man up, will ya?

Real men drink beer that you can't see through and that you can eat with a spoon.

Keep your watered down Miller/Bud/Coors swill to yourself. 😛

There's a reason why chocolate beer comes with panty liners, stud. 😛

a chocolate flavored beer sounds so wrong.

how about treating her to a chocolatini? 🙂

You really wouldn't even know that it had chocolate in it. It's a very bitter chocolate and almost has more of a coffee like finish to it. It's not sweet by any means.

The holiday pack has a chocolate-ish beer in it. It's the one that looks almost black.

might want to also look for a mackeson xxx - not exactly a 'chocolate' beer, but quite like the others stated and quite good

I'm with you, mosh. And by "tasting like beer", I don't mean anything with light/lite in its name.
