Calling ATOT Tennis Players!!

I play with the Prince More Control DB 800 right now, and it's a rather uncomfortable racquet (stiffness rating of 71). I'm looking to switch to a racquet that will force me to lengthen my stroke, and in general, just a racquet to grow with. I've heard good things - many good things - about the Prince Diablo, which is a relatively old racquet. The racquet comes in two sizes: 93 and 98, but I hear the mid plays more solid and has a larger sweetspot than does the midplus. Anyone had experience with these racquets, or headsizes in general? Or does anyone else have other racquets to recommend?

I have a Head Flexpoint Prestige Mid 93. It's a great racquet and size. 93 is more of a blade, it's awesome when you hit the sweet spot, but will let you know if you miss. 98 is a bigger sweet spot, and a good balance between control, forgiveness, and power for an advanced player.

Well, if you've got a good tennis shop around where you live (not Copeland's) you can do a demo program with them to test out some racquets. I've got a place near me called Fry's Sports and they had space in the back to let you test out a lot of racquets they had for demos. People can tell you how a racquet hits and feels, but every person is different so doing a demo would probably be best.

If you can't find a place to demo, Tennis Warehouse does a demo program: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/demoprogram.html

Now that I've got that out of the way, there are a couple racquets I can really recommend. For starters you can try the Liquid Metal Radical, GREAT control and overall a great racquet. But my favorite and current racquet is the Babolat Pure Drive team plus. It did take some time getting used to because it was so much longer than other racquets, but once you got the hang of it, it felt so nice having that extra reach 😛 A lot of my friends say they didn't like it, but they all agreed that it's great for serves.
