Ok, I got myself into a little dilemma here. I was cooking some stuff at my friend's place and made a big bobo. I put a smaller lid over one of those tall frying pan. Now, the lid is totally attached to the frying pan. I believe the low pressure inside is causing the lid to attach itself to the frying pan. Is there away to bring the pressure on both side to an equilibrium so the lid will come off? She owns some expensive cookware, so I don't want to damage them by knocking a hole in the lid or something like that. Is there any other way?

What he said. Put it back on the stove again and try to take the lid off once it's gotten pretty hot again.
